Sorbaria sorbifolia is commonly referred to as Ural False Spirea. It is a coarse, suckering, deciduous, multi-stemmed shrub which features small white flowers in terminal, pyramidal panicles in early summer. Deep green foliage resembles Mountain Ash. It spreads by suckers to form colonies and is quite hardy.
Sorbaria sorbifolia is very hardy and thrives in full sun in rich, organic, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is ideal for erosion control, screens, and border plantings.
